Guide To Buying The Plus Size Clothing

Beginning at the top, if you have a large chest then don't wear button down tops that pull at the chest area, also do not buy a top that is big enough for the chest but looks baggy on the rest of your torso because you will look bigger. The best trick for this look is to wear a camisole or tank underneath your shirt and either leave the top shirt completely unbuttoned or button it only halfway. To make this look work well wear a colorful camisole or tank underneath a dark colored shirt. In order to wear the latest look, tunics, begin with a very good a supportive bra. Do not follow the wireless trend here, a good bra will make you look much more put together. The tunic you are wearing should have either a large band of a different color, or a gather that sits right below the bust but is not a different color. Ribbons or small bands can look very bad on a plus sized woman especially when she is sitting.

Now onto pants, black pants, khakis, go with simple solid colors or vertical pinstripes. Pants should not be tight in the thigh area when you're standing and should be at most moderately tight when sitting. Stretch fabrics are the most comfortable but should still be loose fitting. Choose straight leg or slightly flared, do not choose tapered leg pants, in all honesty they don't look good on anyone especially larger women.

Dresses are best worn with body shapers underneath and should be a solid color.

Colors, solid colors or understated prints are best. Pinstripe pants or a very small plaid design can look good. Follow the rules you've been told, DO NOT wear horizontal stripes or bold prints. You can make your look different with textures instead or prints believe it or not.

Accessories, if there's one thing to spend money on in your wardrobe it should be good bras. These bras can be rather expensive but the way a good bra makes you look in your outfit will make or break the outfit. Shoes are another thing that can make you look good or bad. Try not to wear flats, for very large women flats can allow your feet to spread and look bad. Heels make you look taller and leaner. They don't have to be skinny heels, a larger chunky heel actually looks better with straight or flare leg pants. Find a good shoe with a chunky heel and then buy it in every color, wedges, and platforms in a current style or also good.

Most of all wear what you are comfortable in, if someone tells you that you look good but you don't feel comfortable your doubt will show all day and you will probably never wear the outfit. Also ask yourself this question when trying out an outfit. "If I saw myself wearing this outfit would I say ohhh she should look in the mirror before she leaves the house, or would I stop her and ask where she got it?" Also don't be afraid to take things back if you get home and decide you don't like it.
